Terms of service

The rules for using Theatron. Plain language, no surprises at the bottom.

This is a courtesy translation. The binding text is the Italian version: where the two differ, the Italian prevails.

1. Who we are and what we offer

Theatron is a service of Apeyron Srl, registered at Via Giovanni Quarena 11, 25018 Bedizzole (BS), Italia, VAT no. IT04674920980. It lets you author content for a Minecraft Paper server from a web interface and publish it to your own server through our plugin.

By using Theatron you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

2. Your account

Using Theatron needs an account. You must give a valid email address, keep your credentials safe, and take responsibility for what happens under your account.

You must be at least 16, or have the consent of whoever holds parental responsibility for you.

3. What you create stays yours

What you write in Theatron is yours: characters, dialogue, quests, economies, settings. We claim no ownership over any of it.

You grant us a limited licence to store it, process it and transmit it to your server, for the sole purpose of running the service for you. Nothing beyond that. If you one day publish your settings on a marketplace, that will be a separate choice with its own terms.

You are responsible for what you create: you must have the right to it, and it must not infringe anyone else's.

4. Acceptable use

Do not use Theatron to publish unlawful or harassing content, or content that exploits minors; to infringe anyone's intellectual property; to reach other users' data or other workspaces; or to work around the service's technical limits or load it in a way that degrades it for others.

You are also responsible for your server's community. We do not moderate your players.

5. The plugin and your server

The plugin runs on your server, under your control. Hosting, backups and your server's own compliance are yours. We do not host Minecraft servers and we are not responsible for how yours runs.

One thing worth stating plainly, because it is a design decision and not a marketing promise: what you have published keeps working on your server even when Theatron is offline. Our service is the authoring and distribution plane, not a dependency of your play time.

6. Plans and payment

Theatron has a free plan: an account, a server and your first content without paying and without a card.

If we introduce paid plans, prices and conditions will be stated clearly before purchase, payments will be handled by our provider, and you will be able to cancel at any time with effect at the end of the period already paid for.

7. Service availability

We do our best to keep Theatron available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may change, suspend or discontinue features: where a change materially affects you, we give reasonable notice.

The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we exclude warranties beyond the mandatory ones, which stand if you are a consumer.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages, loss of data or lost profits. Nothing in these terms excludes our liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, nor any right the law gives consumers.

9. Suspension and closure

You may close your account whenever you like. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other users at risk; except in urgent or unlawful cases we warn you first and give you a chance to respond.

On closure you can export your content; after a reasonable period we remove it.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer, the mandatory rules of your country of residence still apply and you may bring proceedings in the courts where you live.

11. Minecraft and Mojang

Theatron is not an official Minecraft product. It is not approved by or associated with Mojang or Microsoft. Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang Synergies AB. Using Theatron and its plugin does not release you from Minecraft's EULA on your own server.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Where a change is substantive we tell you before it takes effect, and continuing to use the service accepts it. The version and the date of the last update are at the foot of this page.
