Cookie Policy

Which cookies the Theatron site uses, what they do, how long they last, and how to manage your consent.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a site stores on your device to remember information between pages or between visits. Some are indispensable to run the site; others measure how it is used, attribute advertising campaigns, and need your consent.

2. Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are indispensable: without them the site does not work or loses your preferences. By law they need no consent.

access_token — keeps your session open after sign-in. Duration: 15 minutes.
refresh_token — renews the session without asking you to sign in again. Duration: 30 days.
minecraft_session — links the in-game area's session to your server. Duration: 1 hour.
NEXT_LOCALE — remembers the language you picked. Duration: up to one year.
sidebar:state — remembers whether the sidebar is open or closed. Duration: up to one year.
oauth_state — a temporary security cookie used during external sign-in. Duration: 10 minutes.
cookie_consent_v2 — remembers your choice on measurement and marketing cookies, so we do not ask again on every visit. Duration: 6 months.

3. Measurement and marketing cookies

Only if you consent, on the public site Google Analytics 4 and Meta Pixel set cookies and load measurement scripts. Google Analytics helps us understand, in aggregate and pseudonymously, which pages are actually used. Meta Pixel helps us measure campaign effectiveness, attribute conversions, and build advertising audiences on Meta.

_ga — gives your browser a pseudonymous identifier to tell visits apart. Duration: up to 2 years.
_ga_<ID> — stores the session state for the specific Analytics property. Duration: up to 2 years.
_fbp — helps Meta distinguish browsers and visits for campaign and audience measurement. Duration: up to 3 months.
_fbc — may be set when you arrive from a Meta ad and stores the advertising click identifier. Duration: up to 3 months.
theatron_marketing_visitor_v1 — gives the browser a random identifier so, after consent, an anonymous journey can be linked to a request you later submit. Duration: up to 6 months (localStorage).
theatron_marketing_attribution_v1 — keeps the first and last acquisition campaign (UTMs, ad, placement, landing page and referring domain) so a request can be attributed. Duration: up to 6 months (localStorage).
theatron_marketing_session_v1 — distinguishes the current visit from later ones. Duration: until the tab is closed (sessionStorage).

4. Giving and withdrawing consent

On first visit a banner appears with two equally weighted choices: "Accept measurement" and "Necessary cookies only". Until you choose, and if you choose "Necessary cookies only", Google Analytics and Meta Pixel are not even loaded: no script and no non-necessary cookies reach your browser.

You can change your mind at any time from the "Cookie settings" link in the site footer, which re-opens the banner. Your choice is remembered for six months, after which the banner reappears.

5. Third-party cookies

The third-party tools that may set cookies, only after consent, are Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited, and Meta Pixel, provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited. The scripts are served from googletagmanager.com and connect.facebook.net. The trailer video is embedded in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com) and sets no cookies until you start playback.

6. Managing cookies from your browser

Besides our banner, you can block or clear cookies from your browser settings. Note that disabling strictly necessary cookies can prevent the site from working, while disabling measurement and marketing cookies has no effect on your experience.
